Clinical psychology for adults in Toronto
I’m Dr. Dale Bricker, a clinical psychologist with doctoral-level training, 14 years of clinical practice, and registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
I work best with people who take therapy seriously — the introspective, the curious, and those carrying something heavy enough that quick fixes have already failed. My practice centres on relationships, work stress, trauma, and the kind of self-development that actually changes how you live.
My training is psychodynamic and systemic, with EMDR for trauma processing — evidence-based methods, applied with judgment that only years in the room can teach.
Areas of practice:
- Relationship difficulties
- Work stress and burnout
- Trauma and EMDR
- Self-development
- Anxiety and depression
- First responder and operational stress
- Life transitions
- Executive and leadership challenges
Therapy is an investment — of money, time, and self. Twenty minutes of honest conversation will tell us both whether it’s one worth making together.
My approach
to therapy…

People come to therapy when something stops working — when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or standing at a crossroads without a clear way forward.
My role is not to hand you answers. It is to offer a rigorous, non-judgmental space in which to understand how you show up in the world and why — and to give you the insight and tools to create movement in your own life. If you’re looking for someone to nod along, I’m the wrong fit. If you’re ready to look honestly at yourself, we’ll do serious work together.
Relationships are where I do some of my strongest work: understanding the patterns you bring to them, where those patterns came from, and how to change them.
Much of my practice sits where professional and personal life meet. Work shapes identity, purpose, and what we bring home — and prolonged work stress rarely stays at the office. I help professionals and leaders build confidence, navigate imposter syndrome, and succeed without hollowing out the rest of their lives. My MBA means I understand the rooms my clients sit in, not just the feelings they bring out of them.
I also have extensive experience with first responders — police, fire, paramedics, and frontline personnel. Some calls stay with you. I provide confidential, evidence-based care, including EMDR, for operational stress and post-traumatic reactions, and for what the job takes from sleep, relationships, and outlook.
With insight, support, and a genuine connection to yourself and the people around you, life can be liberating, meaningful, and fulfilling. I look forward to meeting you.
